Jump right into the most popular content-management system for creating and maintaining websites and blogs. We'll begin with the WordPress environment and install, including mobile v. responsive; choosing a host; and the 5-minute install. Then we'll dress it up (appearances and themes; menus, sidebars, and footers; plug-ins and widgets) and get right to work (posts and pages, categories or tags, search-engine optimization). Addressing security concerns, we'll discuss passwords, user management, and updates (themes, plug-ins, and core). Before the daylong session ends, we'll troubleshoot common problems. (We call this the "OMG. Why Doesn't It Work" segment.) $199*
