What?

In this new, all-day Boot Camp class, we will take a deep dive into the Develop module in Lightroom. I will cover many different editing techniques and show you how to use all of the panels in the Develop module so you can edit your images to their fullest potential and make them really stand out. You will be amazed at what you can do in Lightroom! I can't wait to share my editing "secrets" with you.

This class covers only the Develop module in Lightroom, none of the other modules. Students should have a basic understanding of Lightroom and know how to import photos into the Lightroom catalog. Students should also have basic computer skills and know how to find their files and file folders.

During this class, you will learn how to create dramatic lighting effects for both landscapes and portraits, how to change colors in Lightroom, advanced techniques for using the Hue/Saturation/Luminance panel to have more control over editing specific colors in your image, how to add a sun glow effect, effective sharpening techniques and removing noise, and how to use the tone curve panel, not only to bring images to life, but also how to use curves to affect color. In addition, you will learn portrait-retouching techniques, how to enhance detail, create custom vignettes, and much more.

There are so many tips and techniques that we decided to do this as an all-day class. In addition, time will be allotted during class so that students can work on their own images with help from the instructor.

I hope you will join me in this very fun and interactive class. I guarantee you will learn to do more in Lightroom. Notes are provided to every student, and students will receive lots of individual help. As always, class sizes are small and lunch is included. Come join me on this editing adventure in Lightroom! $199*

Prerequisites:

This class is for students who have previously used Lightroom and who have a basic understanding of using Lightroom and importing images. Moderate computer skills are recommended, and you must bring your own computer to class with a newer version of Lightroom installed. Note that Betty will be using Adobe's Lightroom Classic version of the software, not Lightroom CC (the new cloud-based version of the software). Should you need to borrow a computer, please request one upon registration.
